Schoenrock Realtors was founded in April, 1974 by Gery Schoenrock. In the summer of 1975, Patti Schoenrock joined the company, initially serving in the capacity of office management. In 1976 the company began to grow with the addition of several agents.

With customer service always at the forefront of the company’s mission, a second office was opened in 1978 at 1300 West 14th. With plans to build a new office in the West Sixth location, the two offices were consolidated in the spring of 1981.

The Schoenrocks took advantage of an opportunity to purchase a commercial lot at the corner of 6th and Garfield in late 1981 and began the preparation to build a building large enough to house 8-10 agents as well as offer customers complimentary services other than real estate. In October 1983 the company moved into its current location at 901 West Sixth Street. At this time the company was also affiliated with the Coldwell Banker Residential network.

The balance of the 1980’s was focused on the growth of the company by the addition of more agents as well as the beginning of Heartland Mortgage Company which operated at this location from 1985 until 2000. From time to time, insurance and title services have also been available “in-house”.

In 1988, Gery took advantage of another opportunity and purchased the Coldwell Banker office in Manhattan, KS. For 12 years, the Schoenrock’s operated two offices with 30-40 agents servicing the Junction City / Manhattan areas under the Schoenrock name.

With a desire to have more flexibility to travel and visit their family, the Schoenrocks reorganized the business in the summer of 2000. Management responsibilities were assigned to long-time agents and the mortgage company was closed.

Through the past 35 years in the business, Gery has broadened the business to include many other aspects of real estate development other than just marketing residential homes. Wheatland Hills Units 1, 2, 3, and 4 were planned under his leadership. He was also involved at the beginning of the organization of Greenhills Subdivision.

Many rental units have been built and/or renovated under his leadership with Garfield Garden Homes being the most recent project completed. He has built many commercial properties across the state including the Washington Square retail complex at the corner of 6th and Washington in Junction City. Currently, he is involved in the organization of Junction City’s newest bank, Millennium Bank. The bank facilities are also being built under his guidance at the corner of 2nd and Washington Streets.

With the growth boom in Junction City exploding in the fall of 2005 and continuing through 2006, the company reorganized once again in the summer of 2006 with the Schoenrocks reassuming the roles of management of the company. With the focus on new construction and the build-out of Wheatland Hills Units #3 and #4, it was determined that to break away from Coldwell Banker was in the best interest of the new construction efforts. New agents have come on board and the company is strongly focused on the marketing of new homes.

Schoenrock Realtors continues its tradition of being the premier real estate company in town. Attention to detail and customer service remain high priorities. From start to finish, it is our goal to make the real estate experience an easy one for both SELLERS and BUYERS. The high percentage of repeat customers indicates that customer satisfaction is a strong factor in our success and an aspect we highly value.
